The Mini Hearth, Modular is a new product from Tar Heel Ants. This version of our most popular founding formicarium makes the habitats modular with the addition of magnetic attachment sites on both sides of the formicarium. The Mini Hearth is a founding formicarium intended for queens and small colonies. The Mini Hearth is our smallest formicarium that includes our large water tower and nestmate combination. This makes this an ideal habitat for founding queens as it requires less maintenance and allows the queens to be left relatively undisturbed during their most delicate stage of colony development.

Dimensions: Standard Nest Size – 3 5/8″ x 1 13/16 x 1 3/4″
XL Nest Size – 4 5/8″ x 1 13/16 x 1 3/4″
Note: This version of the Standard Size nest is
slightly larger then the original Mini Hearth
1 nestmate (XL version – 2 nestmates) for drinking water or ventilation
